Chicken with Dates, Almonds, Pine Nuts and Honey

1 chicken cut into small pieces
Olive oil
2 onions
2 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons Whole Raw Natural Almonds
12 Loose Packed Dates
1 bay leaf
Pine Nuts
1 tablespoon mixed spice (cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg, cumin, turmeric, ginger)
2 tablespoons honey


1) Season the chicken and fry until golden.
2) Add the finely-sliced onion.
3) When golden, add the garlic, followed by the spices, and cover with water.
4) Cook over a low heat for 25 minutes.
5) Add the almonds, dates, pine nuts and honey and cook for 10 more minutes before serving.
