Ingredients
Apple Filling:

4 cups apples, peeled and chopped

2 tablespoons coconut sugar

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 tablespoon walnut flour

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping:

2/3 cup walnuts, finely chopped

3/4 cup gluten free rolled oats
-
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons maple syrup
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease an 8-inch baking pan with coconut oil. Set aside.

Combine all filling ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until apples are completely and evenly coated and sugar has dissolved.

Pour apple filling into prepared baking pan and spread into an even layer.

Combine all topping ingredients in a medium bowl and mix until crumbles form.

Spoon the filling mixture on top of the apple mixture. Make sure the mixture is evenly dispersed.

Bake 45 minute or until the top is a deep golden brown and juices begins to thicken.

Serve warm over your favourite ice cream, yogurt or a bowl on its own.
